I'm absolutely in love with Chapter 20 of Ascent.
It’s just so fucking sweet, though it really shouldn’t be. At the end, the way they talk to each other, and that kiss, and his thoughts. It was just absolutely perfect, so much better than the 1001 ways I’ve thought of it, because I never dreamed it could be so… subtly affectionate.
